Whaddon is located in the Melbourn ward of South Cambridgeshire District Council, in the Melbourn & Bassingbourn ward of Cambridgeshire County Council, and the parliamentary constituency of South-West Cambridgeshire.
South Cambridgeshire District Council is the next tier of local government above the Parish Council.
