WELCOME TO WHADDON IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Updated Friday 10 January 2025

Whaddon is an extremely old village located in the south-west of Cambridgeshire. Its actual origins are uncertain. However, the village is well documented in the Domesday Book of 1086. Its name derives from the Anglo-Saxon for Wheat-hill (hwaete dun), but in spite of its name the village is almost flat, rising only to about 23m at its highest point.
